Timber Point Golf Course

The 9 at Merrick is a nine-hole, par-36 course of more than 3,200 yards, set just east of the Meadowbrook Parkway and south of Merrick Road, with elevated greens and welcoming fairways. A practice putting green helps players warm up, and the pro shop offers golf equipment and attire along with personal instruction from a certified PGA teaching professional. Merrick is also one of the Golf Channel Academy's locations.

Shelter Island Country Club, affectionately known as "Goat Hill," is a historic nine-hole public golf course established in 1901 and situated on one of the island's highest points with scenic views of Peconic Bay. The course welcomes golfers of all levels and offers golf carts, pull carts, and club rentals, plus a driving range to warm up before play. Families can enjoy the 1901 Grill restaurant for lunch and dinner, relax at the bar, and take in views from the covered porch. The clubhouse and course are also available for family celebrations and group outings.

Rolling Oaks is an 18-hole executive golf course in Rocky Point, a Brookhaven course open to the public, with a par of 65, several water holes and uneven terrain. Plenty of trees shape the layout, with challenges for almost any player from the low handicapper to the beginner. A full-service golf shop carries equipment, gloves, balls and apparel.

Poxabogue Golf Center in the Bridgehampton and Sagaponack area of the Hamptons has a 9-hole course and an expansive driving range, both open to the public. Lessons, clinics and an extensive Junior Golf Program run throughout the year, and the center also offers camps.
