What is there to do with kids on Long Island?
Long Island has 1,398 verified parks and playgrounds, kids' activities, youth leagues, and summer camps across Nassau and Suffolk, from splash pads and children's museums to farms, bowling, and trampoline parks. Pick an age or a town and this directory narrows to what fits, and a weekly events calendar covers what is happening this weekend.
Is LI Playbook free?
Yes. LI Playbook is free for families, and ranking is never sold: nothing a venue or sponsor can buy changes which listings show up, where they sit in a grid, or how search results are ordered. When a sponsor does support the site, that support is always labeled. There is also a free weekly email with the best upcoming events.
How are listings verified?
Every park gets checked against satellite photos before it goes up, with Street View pulled up for the ambiguous ones. It is a human and AI system: AI vision models do the looking, and a real person triages what gets flagged and spot-checks by hand. Addresses are geocoded to a street-level location, and listing websites are re-checked in a real browser on a rolling schedule, so dead links get the listing pulled instead of left to rot. More than 1,700 listings have gone through that pipeline and about 400 were removed, which is the point.
