Apex Horror Haunted House

Apex Horror Productions is a free walk-through haunted house run entirely by volunteers on Seminole Street in Selden. This year's theme is Scary Tales, with classic fairy tales twisted into nightmares. For 2026 it opens three nights, Thursday through Saturday, October 29, 30 and 31, from 6 to 10 PM. Expect live scare actors, detailed sets, practical effects, lawn displays with roaming actors, and jump scares. The actors will not touch you, and guests are asked not to touch the sets. The organizers say it is open to all ages but strongly encourage parental guidance, and its LI Lights Map listing rates it PG-13, so it will suit kids who enjoy a scare more than little ones. Admission is free. It is on a residential street, so visit only on the posted nights, and check the organizer's website for updates before you go.
