Dia de los Muertos at Long Island Children's Museum

The Long Island Children's Museum in Garden City marks Dia de los Muertos with a Day of Healing through Play, held for National Children's Grief Awareness Month. Families can learn about the tradition and make crafts that honor ancestors and loved ones: decorate a memory jar to take home, add a papel picado square and a paper marigold to the museum's ofrenda, and get a calavera face painting of a happy skeleton.
