Starkie Bros, the garden center on Main Street in Farmingdale, holds its annual Fall Festival over one October weekend, with free admission for the fall activities: pumpkin painting, face painting, hayrides, a bounce house, and a chance to feed the goats.

Popcorn, cotton candy, hamburgers and hot dogs are on hand too. Hours are 10 AM to 4 PM both days.
