Hannah Kroner School of Dance
The Hannah Kroner School of Dance is a family-owned studio on Willis Avenue in Albertson that says it has taught dance for over 75 years, now directed by two of its former students. The youngest dancers start with a parent-and-child music, dance and story class from 18 months and tots classes for ages 2 to 3. Older students take ballet (with pointe once they are ready), tap, jazz, hip hop, acro, contemporary and lyrical, and Broadway musical theater for pre-teens and teens. The studio also offers small, adapted dance and exercise classes for children and adults with special needs, adult classes, and birthday parties. Dancers 8 and up can audition for the studio's competition company, and no minimum experience is required. Children's classes run September through June, with summer classes and workshops in July and August.
