About

Soccer Shots Long Island West is the local franchise of Soccer Shots, the national soccer program for young children, owned by Alex and Marcela Gallego, who joined Soccer Shots in 2010. Its coaches run weekly 30 to 40 minute sessions on basic soccer skills like dribbling, passing and shooting, through games and positive reinforcement, and each session highlights a character trait such as respect, teamwork or appreciation. Soccer Shots provides all the equipment, and cleats and shin guards are not needed. Its public classes are listed on the franchise's class registration page. For fall 2026 that is a Sunday class for 2-year-olds at the All Sportz Multi Sport Complex in Melville, part of the Mini program, where parents are welcome to join in. The franchise also runs classes inside preschools, childcare centers and schools, which are only open to children enrolled there, and it will start a new public class for a group of eight children. Class locations change by season, so check the class registration page for current sessions.
