Cantiague Park

Cantiague Park is a full-service Nassau County park in Hicksville that has been a community favorite since 1961. This expansive facility offers something for every family member, from young children to teens and adults. The park is conveniently located just off the Northern State Parkway and east of the Wantagh State Parkway, making it easily accessible for Long Island families. The highlight for many families is the award-winning swimming complex, named by News12 Long Island viewers as the best outdoor swimming facility on Long Island. It features an Olympic-sized pool, two water slides, a diving pool, a kiddie pool, a training pool, and an interactive water-play area. The pool is open June 23 through Labor Day from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM. Daily admission is $10-$25 for adults and $6-$20 for children depending on Leisure Pass status, with family memberships available for $310 per season. Beyond swimming, Cantiague Park offers numerous recreational activities for active families. Kids can enjoy two playgrounds designed for various ages, an 18-hole miniature golf course, outdoor batting cages with slow, medium, and fast pitch options, and a gaming area with chess and checkerboard tables. The park also features an impressive ice-skating rink open year-round, where recreational skaters can enjoy public sessions for $10-$15 (adults) and $6-$10 (children), plus skate rentals for $5. The rink has hosted Olympic gold medalists and was a practice facility for the New York Islanders. Athletic families will appreciate the extensive sports facilities including five lighted tennis courts, three lighted basketball courts, six lighted handball/paddleball courts, and numerous athletic fields for baseball, softball, soccer, football, and lacrosse—many with lights for night play. The park also features a 9-hole, par-30 golf course and an illuminated driving range. All lighted facilities and athletic fields require permits. With picnic areas (some reserved, some first-come, first-served), restrooms, and on-site staff, Cantiague Park provides a complete family recreation destination.
