Kensington Pool

Kensington Pool is a seasonal community swimming pool operated by the Incorporated Village of Kensington in Great Neck, offering a fun and refreshing destination for families during the warm months. The pool features games and pool toys to keep children entertained, and families can bring their own toys as well. With dedicated leadership including Pool Director Mariuca Ganz and Assistant Pool Director Erik Connelly, the facility maintains a safe and welcoming environment for community members. The pool operates on a seasonal schedule from late May through early September, with special pre-season hours starting in May and extended hours throughout the summer. Regular season hours run Monday and Friday from 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM, Tuesday through Thursday from 12:00 PM to 8:00 PM, and Saturday and Sunday from 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM. On days when the outdoor temperature reaches 90 degrees or above by midday, the pool stays open until 8:00 PM (through August 24th). The pool closes for the season on Labor Day, September 1st. Access to Kensington Pool is available through several membership options. Kensington residents need a Park District Card with valid identification. For non-resident family members of Kensington residents, seasonal passes are available at $200 per adult and $100 per child under 17. Non-residents can be sponsored by Kensington residents for pool membership at $500 per adult and $250 per child under 17, with a maximum family charge of $1,800 per season. All children 12 and under must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian at all times.
