The park is open sunrise to sunset year-round, making it accessible for families regardless of the season. During summer months (June-September), the park is particularly popular for beach activities, with swimming hours extending from 10 AM to 7 PM. Winter visitors can enjoy cross-country skiing and snowshoeing when conditions permit. Families should note that organized groups larger than 50 people will need to obtain a permit. The park offers both free activities like hiking and picnicking, as well as fee-based amenities: golf rates start at $15 for 9 holes on weekdays (with junior and senior discounts available), fishing permits are required, and rental carts are available for golfers.
