Stage Door School of Dance
Stage Door School of Dance is a dance studio on Sunrise Highway in Patchogue with classes for ages 12 months to adult in ballet, tap, jazz, hip hop, modern and lyrical, and acrobatics and tumbling. Recreational classes run from preschool dance for ages 12 months to 5 years through youth and teen classes for ages 5 to 17, with boys-only classes, adult dance, and fitness and conditioning alongside. Its weDance program offers classes designed for dancers with physical, cognitive, emotional and behavioral needs, from age 3 through adult, with a dance shadow assigned to every student and fully accessible studios and restrooms. Dancers who want to compete can join SDSD Crew, an open-enrollment competition team for ages 5 to 17 with no audition, or go on to the invitation-only Select program and the auditioned Elite Company, which competes at local dance competitions. The studio has five studio rooms, offers a free trial class for new students, and hosts birthday dance parties built around a private themed dance class.
