Gold Medal Gymnastics Centereach is a gymnastics and ninja gym on Middle Country Road, just off the Long Island Expressway at Exit 62. Gold Medal has taught gymnastics on Long Island since 1973 and runs six gyms here, in Smithtown, Garden City, Rocky Point, Centereach, Levittown and Huntington. Classes cover ages 3 months to 18 years. Preschool classes for ages 3 months to 6 years include Parent & Tot, Bronze Babies and Super Silvers. Recreational classes for ages 5 and up run 90 minutes and cover all four Olympic events: balance beam, uneven bars, floor exercise and vault. Every gym has a Gold Medal Ninja course, and ninja classes mix gymnastics basics with obstacle course challenges, from Ninja Babies (walking to 3 years) up to Advanced Ninja. Tumbling and trampoline classes, aimed at cheerleaders, dancers and other athletes, include beginner and advanced flipping classes and Dancenastics, with spring floors, trampolines and foam pits. Competitive gymnasts can move from Mini-Team up to Club, USAIGC and USAG teams, and one-on-one lessons or mini groups of 2 to 4 students are also offered.
