Kings Park Unique Area

Kings Park Unique Area is a wonderful 69-acre nature preserve in Suffolk County that offers families a chance to explore beautiful natural habitats and learn about local history. Families with younger children or those seeking an easier walk can enjoy the 0.3-mile accessible yellow trail, which is named in honor of Sgt. Clarence Hylan Beavers, a pioneering member of the U.S. Army's first all-African-American paratrooper platoon. More adventurous hikers can tackle the 1.1-mile blue loop trail.
