Youth baseball and softball leagues on Long Island

Town little leagues take everyone who signs up, travel clubs hold tryouts and play across the region, and indoor training centers run cages and clinics straight through the winter. This guide lists all 67 baseball and softball programs in our directory, split by county so you can start with what is near you.

Common questions
When does youth baseball registration open on Long Island?
It depends on the program. Town little leagues generally open registration in winter for a season that starts in April, while travel clubs often hold tryouts the previous summer or fall. Registration windows move every year, so check the program's own site for the current one. Each listing here links out to it.
What is the difference between a little league and a travel team?
Recreational and town-run leagues generally take every kid who signs up, play locally, and are built around participation. Travel programs hold tryouts, compete against clubs across the region, and ask for a bigger commitment of both time and money. Programs here are labeled by type where we have it, so you can tell the two apart before you reach out.
Are there year-round baseball programs on Long Island?
Yes. Alongside the spring and summer leagues, a number of indoor training centers run instruction, cages, and clinics through the fall and winter, and several programs in this guide are tagged for those seasons as well as spring.
Is softball included in this guide?
Yes. Baseball and softball share a single category in our directory, so this page covers both, including fastpitch training programs and softball-only leagues.
